Job Fair in South and City College in Birmingham

A Job fair will be held in SCCB Birmingham today at 10:00 til 4:00 in Digbeth. This is an  opportunity for everybody  and especially for young students who want to get a first work experience and skills.

The  Irish Festival

Celebrating St Patrick’s Day has a long  history in Birmingham and the parade has always been a highlight . The whole city comes behind the festival to have an opportunity to celebrate its Irish heritage and culture. Come along to Digbeth on Sunday 15 of March and join in the fun.

General Election 2015

On the 7th of  May  people in the UK will choose a new Prime  Minister after a 5 year interval. The Government are organising workshops for students who are voting for the first  time, to learn  about democracy and how general elections work. Ask your tutor for more details.

Football returns to the Dark Ages
Aston Villa vs West Brom

Last Sunday was a derby match, Aston Villa versus West Brom. At full time, some Villa supporters made a pitch invasion. Seats were thrown to the stand housing West Brom supporters.
Villa eventually won the match 2-1.

Sunday the 8th of  March is  global Womens’ Day,
he economic, political and social achievement of women past, present and future, giving them power and rights of decisions in society. Look out for local and national events near you.
